Ask your MSP about stable teaching work
Put teacher employment on your representative’s agenda. Prepare a personal, evidence-led message and ask for a reply.
Good education needs continuity. Scottish Teachers for Permanence campaigns for stable contracts, predictable work and secure incomes. Permanent posts are one route to stability; teachers on temporary and supply contracts need security and fair treatment too.
Read the sources below, choose your representative and ask what they will do. You do not need to share a personal experience to take part.
The request
What steps will you take to support stable contracts, predictable work and secure incomes for teachers, including those on temporary and supply contracts? Please explain how you will follow up and keep constituents informed.
Find your representative
Use the Scottish Parliament’s postcode lookup. You have a constituency MSP and regional MSPs; choose the person you want to contact and copy their current email address.
Find your MSP on parliament.scot ↗The finder opens in a new tab. Your message stays here.
Make the message your own
Introduce yourself, add your name and explain your connection to the area. A personal experience is optional. Leave out details that identify pupils, colleagues or other people.
Your draft stays in this page. It is not sent to the campaign or saved if you leave or reload.
Review, then send it yourself
Read your message and check the recipient. Opening your email app prepares a draft; it does not send the message.
If an email app does not open, copy the message into your usual email service. Long drafts may need to be copied manually.
Keep the conversation going
Keep a copy of your message. If you receive a reply, use the campaign email below to ask how to share it privately. Remove personal details about other people first.
