This casualisation of the teaching workforce must end. We need to stop the temporary funding that leads to temporary jobs.
Only 14 of East Renfrewshire's 64 post-probation primary teachers went into permanent full-time posts in 2020/21, the fourth yearly fall in a row. It was the first year more took temporary jobs than permanent ones. Willie Rennie called for an end to casualisation.
