Scottish Teachers for Permanence wants everyone to be able to read the evidence, use the guides and take part in the campaign. This statement covers the public website at teachers4perm.com. It does not cover third-party websites we link to.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We are a teacher-led campaign rather than a public sector body, so the public sector accessibility regulations do not apply to us, but we use the same standard as our benchmark.
What you should be able to do
- skip straight to the main content from the top of each page
- navigate menus, forms and search with a keyboard alone
- zoom text up to 200% without losing content
- use the site with animations reduced, if you have turned on reduced motion in your device settings
- use a screen reader: pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields
Known limitations
We know some parts of the website are not yet fully accessible:
- The interactive council map and some statistics charts are hard to use without a mouse or without sight. The same figures are available as lists and tables through the councils A–Z, the council comparison and the downloads.
- Videos use TikTok's player, which we do not control. Captions depend on the original upload.
- Some PDF documents, including council FOI responses we publish as received, may not be tagged for screen readers.
If you need information in a different format, such as plain text, large print or a spreadsheet, ask us and we will do our best to provide it.

Testing
The website has not yet had an independent accessibility audit. We will update this statement when one has taken place.
