The guides, evidence and statistics are general information. They are not legal, employment or financial advice. For questions about your own contract or employment, speak to your union, your employer or a qualified adviser.
Reusing our material
You are welcome to quote, share and link to our pages, evidence summaries and campaign briefings for non-commercial purposes, as long as you credit Scottish Teachers for Permanence and link to the source page. Please do not edit our material in a way that changes its meaning.
Official statistics and documents we republish remain under their original terms. Each page lists its sources; check them before reusing figures. Our methodology explains how we handle sources and their limits.
Teacher stories belong to the people who wrote them. Please quote them briefly and in context, with a link to the story.
Stories, replies and survey answers
When you share a story or submit an MSP reply, you choose whether it may be published. We review everything before it appears on the website. We may lightly edit stories for length or clarity, or to remove identifying details, and we may decline to publish any submission. We do not publish contributors' email addresses or other contact details.
Survey findings are published only as combined results after analysis. If you want something you contributed changed or removed, email hello@teachers4perm.com.
Please do not submit anything that is untrue, that identifies pupils or colleagues, or that you do not have the right to share.
Corrections
We work to get the figures and the political record right. If you think something is wrong, whether a statistic, a quote in The Record or a detail on any other page, please tell us. Send the page address, what you think is wrong and, if you can, a source.
- Email hello@teachers4perm.com with “Correction request” in the subject, or use the contact form.
- We check the report against the original sources.
- If we find a significant error, we correct the page and note what changed.
Links to other websites
We link to official sources, news coverage and social media. We are not responsible for the content of other websites, and a link is not an endorsement.
