I am lucky to have a permanent contract and feel for those who do not, however I really dislike my school and working there has a negative effect on my mental health but I cannot move as there are no other jobs to move to.

Whilst the lack of permanent jobs affects those without secure employment most, it also prevents any kind of movement to other schools or local authorities for all teachers as there are no sideways moves.

I have applied for other full time jobs as a teacher of 10 years plus SQA/QS marker and item writer and not been successful and sometimes not even had an interview, there have been over 100 applicants for a post at times.
