Heart broken that I had to take a job out with teaching to pay the bills and to give me some financial security.

Lack of permanent primary teaching jobs meant that I was on supply since I returned to Scotland 10 years ago. As an experienced teacher, at the top of the payscale, I wasn't getting chosen by schools on the Teacher Booker hiring app because I was too expensive.

Due to not getting any supply work (through no fault of my own ), I was then removed from the council's supply list because I hadn't worked in the past 6 months for that council!

That was the final straw for me personally. Got a part-time job out with teaching and still trying to get some supply work in the two other councils whose supply lists I'm still on.

No supply work as yet as hundreds are applying for the same supply work and by the time I read my email, the supply day is already filled! It's soul destroying! There must be a better way......
