- Two years / two school sessions continuous satisfactory service, or 24 months non-continuous fixed-term work within three calendar years.
- What the route leads to
- The reviewed policy says qualifying teachers may apply and that qualifying requests would normally not be refused.
- Continuity
- The local wording says a complete calendar week without a contract can break continuity, subject to stated exceptions.
- Application timing
- 31 March for the following school session.
- Vacancy / placement
- Placement in the teacher’s existing school is a preference, not a guarantee.
