I know many people in the same position as myself – I am due to get married next year, a decision I had put off until I decided not to let insecurity hold back the continuation of my life. However, as a woman I still feel unable to start a family without the security of a permanent post.

It should not be like this, no person should have to spend significant time, money and investment into a career or profession which does so little to support its employees. How can pupils be expected to achieve and excel when they have a revolving door of teacher who they get to know, build relationships with and then never see again?
