On two separate occasions I have been working towards my 2 year continuous supply work days, building up to gaining a permanent post in [council removed], by working at least 1 day in 10 for 2 years which would result in gaining permanent work with the council after 2 years.
However, on 2 separate occasions when coming up to the 2 years, schools that I have been working in have cut my supply days, therefore guaranteeing I do not make the criteria for a permanent post. I have spoken to union staff in schools about this and it is widely known that schools are asked to do this so less people get permanent contracts. There is no industry quite like it!
