Unfair and inconsistent employment approaches between councils – I scored full marks in my perm supply interview for GCC but was left without a job. Friends of mine had been offered or rejected from the job advert back in June, yet when I phoned in July to enquire about my application status I was told that my application had not been looked at yet.
How can they offer and reject some people from a job with limited posts while some people’s documents haven’t been looked at? For all I know my documents were never actually looked at.
Likewise, some of my peers from my probation year have been lucky and had headteachers who have managed to bend rules and keep them after fixed term contracts or supply work, while others like myself have just been fighting for supply on Teacher Booker despite headteachers requesting me. This is completely unfair and should be a blanket approach for all.
