Our [council removed] permanency eligibility was changed recently without anyone’s knowledge. Very poor communication. Even our school union rep wasn’t made aware. You now have to apply for and interview for the permanency pool jobs whereas last session you were just given a permanent job after your two years’ continuous service (excluding the probation year).

In January they called us to a meeting to tell us this would not be happening and that we should still be grateful that they gave us the opportunity of our probation year and they could not guarantee supply interviews.
